About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who thinks in systems, cares about reliability, and wants to work on problems that do not have obvious answers. You will work directly on Pathways, our data pipeline engine, and the APIs that power Cortex, our knowledge graph.
What You Will Work On
- Design and build the infrastructure that keeps 240+ integrations synced in real time
- Improve the performance and reliability of Cortex, our knowledge graph engine
- Own API design for both internal services and the Nucleus developer toolkit
- Contribute to scalability, observability, and fault tolerance
- Work closely with ML engineers on the infrastructure that powers Ask and Pulse
What We Are Looking For
- 6 or more years of backend engineering experience
- Deep familiarity with distributed systems and the tradeoffs they require
- Strong experience with data pipelines, event-driven architectures, or graph databases
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Go
- Clear written communication for an async, remote team
